General Information
The Caprivi Region is the far north-eastern extremity of Namibia,
gateway to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and the Chobe National Park in Botswana.
A complex network of rivers and relatively high summer rainfall have turned this
area into a fertile wilderness of riverine forests, floodplains, swamps and open
woodland providing a home to a rich abundance of wildlife. This is the place to see
vast herds of Elephant, Buffalo, Red Lechwe, as well as rare and endangered species
such as Sitatunga and Tsessebe. The bird life is especially rich - more than 400 species
have been recorded in the area.
Location
Chobe King's Den Lodge is situated in the east Caprivi on the banks of the Chobe River,
which forms the border of 4 countries (Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia).
The lodge is equally easy accessible from these countries as well as from South Africa.
Guests will be met at the Kasane immigration office in Botswana and transferred to the lodge by boat.
